Sweet Anya

One more card for 'Sweet Anya's' first day. It's school time here and the weather has been really nice (for Texas) and this is like sending your baby to school for the first time. Love it!

Hope & Grace

Tried to use a sketch today, but very time I try, it changes before I am through. So much for trying to use a plan.

Sweet Tilda

For this card I used the Sweet Tilda from Magnolia stamps. I adore the soft color of her apron and the lacy look, the image is soooo cute, I had to use it. Peach and blue are some of my favorite colors. Hope you enjoy it.

These are some of the supplies I used:
Copic sketch markers and stamped on Pure Luxuy card stock from Gina K Designs. The paper is from my scrap stash and organdy ribbon form my ribbon box. I also used Self Adhesive Gemstones from the Paper Studio, Fiskars Paper Edgers and of course my Lacy Labels Cricut Die Cutter.

Flirty Anya

The challenge from Sheng Funky Buttons, Monday Mania at the Greeting Farm was all about the buttons. I have a BIG chest of button from when I had a quilt shop and I just love buttons. I just couldn't settle on just one - so I used a bunch the same way I would use flowers. There are 7 buttons total plus 2 ribbon charms.

Hope & Grace

When I did this Hope and Grace I had lots of fun doing pin dots on her clothes and the flowers were paper quilling cloud stickers that I cut apart, from my scrapbook drawer.

Hope & Grace

This time I took the Hope and Grace stamp set from the Greeting Farm and painted Grace putting pin dots on her skirt and head ban, then used up some of my antique lace and added a ribbon with a charm hanging from it, plus added some pearls around the circle.

Hope & Grace

Here, I was playing with my embroidery thread and trying to sew on paper by hand. A helpful hint when doing embroidery on paper is to take a needle or another sharp pointed tool and punch the holes first, then thread your needle and sew.

Flirty Anya

I won 'Flirty Anya' when I entered a card contest at the Greeting Farm this fall and had it for a week before I could show or tell anyone, so I just made cards. Here is one of them.

Grammie & Gramps

Just LOVE the Grammie from the Greeting Farm's Grammie and Gramps. It will be a stamp I will use often. I think she looks like me and I'm a Grandma too!

Hope & Grace

I like to put ribbon on my cards too and more often than not add roses. This was for Marie's Ribbons and Bows, Monday Mania at the Greeting Farm. Thanks for the good time....

Oliver & Amelia Happy Day

This was a fun and memorable challenge for Barbara's Hometown, Monday Mania at the Greeting Farm! My card reminds me of my home roots - Utah. Green in the mountains and dusty brown in the desert; with western appeal and lots of dinosaurs! I lived near Dinosaur National Monument in Vernal, Utah and the Oliver stamp was perfect. The paper I used reminded me of a hiking map so I also drew dashes and x-marks-the-spots around Oliver. I added the state's shape and drew the Utah State Parks logo on it which fits because it's also in the shape of Utah. Through my life, I've probably visited every state and national park in Utah.

These are some of the supplies I used:
Copic sketch markers and stamped on Pure Luxuy card stock from Gina K Designs. The paper is from my scrap stash and Raffia. I also used Brads, Staedtler Pigment Liner and of course my Lacy Labels Cricut Die Cutter.

Update: This card won the challenge at Club Anya & Friends!

Pretty Head

This is for the Bejeweled and Bedazzled entry for Farm Fresh Friday at the Greeting Farm in June 2010. The jewelry I had for inspiration was actually from an old memory of a cameo jewelry piece that my mother would wear. Pictured here are two of my jewelry pieces to give you an idea of what a cameo is. I vaguely remember making the flower pendant when I was younger.

These are some of the supplies I used:
Copic sketch markers and stamped on Pure Luxuy card stock from Gina K Designs. The paper is from my scrap stash and organdy ribbon form my ribbon box. I also used Prima Flowes and of course my Lacy Labels Cricut Die Cutter. Lastly I used Self-Adhesive Gemstones from the Paper Studio.

Copic Marker:
E000, E00, E11, W0, W3, W5, W7, W9, W10, R20, R22, R24, R27

Grammie & Gramps

On the card, I reused ribbon from a mother's day gift. Then the dark brown & plaid stripe was leftover from a scrapbook page that I had made a few years ago. I was thinning out my paper and was going to throw it away when I thought of this week's Monday Mania. Lastly, I used an old jar and filled it with my old buttons to use in my craft room. Projects for his and hers.

Sassenach Anya

Not bad for having a broken finger. Ok, I fell down and broke my little finger, and yes it was my right hand and I am right handed. So my daughter and granddaughters got together and helped my do this one. I learned how to color and tape but needed help with the tying of the bow and the corner punches.

Pretty Hat Anya

This one reminds me of the 'good old days' when my Mom and I would get all dressed up and go to the BIG CITY and go shopping. We always had to wear our best!
